This Valentine’s Day, why not make something truly special? Our jointed blue flamingo craft combines creativity and a touch of whimsy, making it a perfect activity for kids and a delightful keepsake for loved ones. This craft is not only fun to make but also provides a 3D, tactile experience with vibrant tissue squares and feathery fluff!

What You’ll Need:

  • Printable blue flamingo template (available for download here)
  • Cardstock or thick paper
  • Tissue paper squares in shades of blue
  • Craft glue or glue stick
  • Brass paper fasteners (for the jointed parts)
  • Feathers or cotton fluff for texture
  • Scissors
  • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils (optional for personalization)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Print the Flamingo Template: Download and print the template onto sturdy cardstock. This ensures your flamingo can stand up to all the decorating fun.
  2. Cut Out the Pieces: Carefully cut out the flamingo’s body, legs, wings, and beak.
  3. Add Jointed Movement: Use brass paper fasteners to attach the wings and legs, creating a moveable, jointed effect.
  4. Decorate with Tissue Squares: Apply glue to sections of the flamingo and layer on tissue paper squares. Overlap the squares slightly to create a feathered look. This adds dimension and brings the flamingo to life!
