Today’s project is a Little Bee Garland, inspired by my picture book “Little Bee’s Day in the Garden.” This sweet and simple garland features happy bees and bright blooms strung along a braided yarn vine—just like the garden Little Bee discovers when she bravely steps out of the hive for the very first time.

✂️ Supplies You’ll Need:

printer and template
White cardstock
Optional Colored Cardstock
Green Yarn
scissors
glue
Black pipe cleaner
googly eyes
Black Marker

🌼 Let’s Make the Garland:

1. Print and Cut:
Download your free template and cut out the bee bodies, wings, and flowers. Mix and match colors to make it your own!

2. Assemble the Bees:
Glue white wings onto each yellow bee. Add black stripes with a marker. Don’t forget the smiles!

3. Create the Flowers:
Use the flower shapes from the template or make your own by layering simple paper flower shapes.

4. Braid the Yarn Vine:
Cut three long strands of yarn (about 5 feet) and braid them together. This makes your garland base.

5. Attach Your Garden Pieces:
Glue or tape your bees and flowers along the braided yarn. Arrange them in clusters or space them out evenly.

6. Display Your Garland:
Hang it across a wall, doorway, or window. It’s a beautiful reminder of Little Bee’s bravery and the garden that was waiting all along.
