Yes, I’m a Poodle! – A Story About Seeing Beyond Appearances

I’m so excited to introduce my newest book, Yes, I’m a Poodle! This story is inspired by my service dog and Poodle, Theo. The story is all about looking beyond first impressions and misconceptions.

In a world where we often judge based on appearances, Yes, I’m a Poodle! gently reminds children (and adults!) that we shouldn’t make assumptions about others based on what we think they should be. Just because someone doesn’t fit into our preconceived ideas or popular stereotype, doesn’t mean they aren’t wonderful just as they are! Theo doesn’t look like everyone’s expectation of a Poodle, and he definitely doesn’t act like the stereotype of a Poodle (little and yappy? Not my Theo!).

This book is packed with fun and educational facts about Poodles. From their history to their intelligence and unique characteristics, kids will learn so much about this amazing breed while also absorbing important messages about individuality and the truth about stereotypes.

Yes, I’m a Poodle! was written in response to constantly being asked ‘what’ my service dog ‘is’, and the occasional argument, as if I don’t know what breed my service dog is (he comes from a long line of AKC registered Poodles). This book is my way of sharing the truth about Poodles while also promoting a broader message of respect and open-mindedness.
