Easy Little Lamb Paper Plate Craft for Kids (Free Printable Template)
I love taking a story beyond the pages of a book. When children create, imagine, and build something connected to a story, they have the opportunity to revisit the characters, explore the message, and make meaningful memories along the way.
This simple Paper plate lamb is a great companion activity for Pray With ME: A Child’s Guide to Prayer. With just a few simple supplies, children can create their very own lamb.
Whether you are reading at home, adding it to a unit study, or looking for a fun group activity, this lamb is sure to bring smiles!
About Pray With Me: A Child’s Guide to Prayer
Introducing Pray With Me: A Child’s Guide to Prayer—a sweet picture book for children ages 4–7 that helps families discover that prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. Through simple words and relatable examples, children learn that they can talk to God anytime, anywhere. This paper plate lamb craft is a fun, hands-on way to reinforce the story, spark conversations about prayer, and give little ones a creative reminder that the Good Shepherd is always listening.
Supplies Needed:
- white, brown, or black paper plate
- color printer and paper
- cotton balls, or wool roving for the fluff on the head
- scissors
- glue
- googly eyes
- Pink marker or crayon (for the nose and mouth)
- Stapler (optional)
How to Make Your Paper Plate Lamb
- Download and Print Templates
- Cut out all pieces
- layer the ears as shown, with the pink piece lined up along the bottom of the outer ear. and glue together.
- Glue the ears to the sides of the head as shown.
- Glue on the oval ace piece on the middle of the plate
- Glue cotton balls, or smalled rolled pieces of wool roving along the top to finish the look.
- Attach large googly eyes.
- With Marker or crayon draw the nose and mouth.
- Optional, glue on the pink cheeks.

- Why do we pray?
