At SillyGeese Publishing, we/I never use AI in the creation of our books or illustrations.
If at some point a book is created using blog posts in which AI was used that will be explicitly stated on the copyright page.
On the website we/I may sometimes make minor use of
AI tools and software to create templates for content. This is no different than when I would write a post and reuse it after making changes. As a small business, where I do the majority of the work myself, AI has helped me make templates that speed up the creation of blog posts.
We/I also use AI for some blog post brainstorming and social media content creation.
Any stories or humor were created by me. Any crafts are created by me, each element including the directions where written and tested by myself or another human.
After careful consideration, we/I have decided on this
approach because we/I believe it to be the best of both
worlds; we/I can take advantage speeding up the process without taking away from the talent and efforts of humans.
In addition, generative AI may be used from time to time to enhance a creation I have already spent time in creating. Such as coloring in an image for purposes of example. This saves paper from being printed for me to hand color, only to end up in the recycling bin. Another example might be to adjust an image to be more inclusive– never in the art of a book, only for purposes of free printables and website content.
I/we don’t post anything that doesn’t feel aligned with my/
our views, and all personal anecdotes and stories are genuine
human experiences.
If you have any questions about our/my AI policy, please email
info@sillygeesepublishing.com. Thanks!
