Panda Paper Plate Craft for Kids: Make a Cute Panda with Dessert Plates
I love taking a story beyond the pages of a book. When children create, imagine, and build something connected to a story, they have the opportunity to revisit the characters, explore the message, and make meaningful memories along the way.
This simple Paper Plate Craft is the perfect companion activity for Little Panda, What Do You See?. With just a few simple supplies, children can create their very own panda craft while remembering the joy they felt reading or listening to the story.

About Little Panda, What Do You See?

This small desert plate panda craft is a fun way for children to connect with the story.
✂️ Supplies Needed:
- 2 small white paper plates (desert sized)
- printer (to print template pieces) and paper
- scissors
- glue
- googly eyes (1 inch or size desired)
- Black marker or crayon
- Stapler (optional but helpful for groups)
How to Make Your Desert Plate Panda
- Print out template pieces
- Carefully cut out the panda pieces.
- Glue the two plates together, slightly overlapped.
- Glue the ears on. Pick one end and glue them to the backside of the plate.
- Glue on the muzzle (small white oval) to the bottom of the plate centered between the ears.
- Glue on the black eye masks, just above the muzzle as shown in the picture..
- Glue on the nose top middle of the muzzle.
- Use a marker or crayon and create the mouth below the nose, staying on the muzzle piece.
- Attach large googly eyes to center of eye mask pieces
- Identify left and right arms and legs.
- Glue the arms so the curve towards each other at the top where the two plates meet.
- Glue the legs halfway down the bottom plate so the curve towards each other.
