Unicorn Paper Roll Craft: Easy Kids’ Craft with Free Template
I love taking a story beyond the pages of a book. When children create, imagine, and build something connected to a story, they have the opportunity to revisit the characters, explore the message, and make meaningful memories along the way.
This simple Craft is the perfect companion activity for any book with a unicorn theme. I like to pair it with Bubbles and the Big Race, my book that has a little unicorn that needs to learn a big lesson on good sportsmanship. With just a few simple supplies, children can create their very own unicorn.
Whether you are reading at home, adding it to a homeschool unit study, or looking for a fun classroom activity, this unicorn craft is sure to bring smiles!
About Bubbles and the Big Race
Meet a sweet little unicorn — a friend of Bubbles the Bubble Blowing dragon and his companions Princess Charlotte and Prince Vash.
Perfect for ages 4-12, Bubbles and the Big Race is a story that captivates its audience, with real to live problems kids face, like knowing the rules before you play, and being a gracious winner or loser.

✂️ Supplies Needed:
- printer and template
- 1 sheets White Cardstock
- 1 sheet black Cardstock or color of unicorn
- Toilet paper Roll (optional)
- scissors
- glue
- googly eyes
- Optional: glitter glue
- Optional: Tape, paper clips
How to Make Your
- Print and carefully cut out the pieces. from white cardstock.
- Cut the black piece of cardstock into 4 in x 8 in. piece. Or big enough to wrap around a toilet paper roll.
- Glue the two short sides so they over lap and glue together. (Hold until glue dries, or find something to hold it for you, like paper clips) Or wrap and glue to the toilet paper roll.
- Glue on main first. This sets the placement for everything else.
- Glue on ears and forelock.
- Glue on horn.
- Glue on Muzzle
- Place googley eyes.
- Optionally add the glitter or glitter glue. Because Uniorns are magical!
- Allow everything to dry thouroughly.
