From Book to Craft Table: Create a Silly Goose (or Three!) with This Easy Paper Plate Craft

Looking for a fun and easy craft that celebrates the silliness of sisterhood? This Paper Plate Goose Craft is a perfect companion to my book Three Silly Sisters—a story about three goose sisters who love to play dress-up and discover just how strong their family bond is when things go a little wrong.
This silly, simple craft turns an ordinary paper plate into a charming goose that your little ones can decorate with flair—just like the sisters in the story!

🐝 About the Story:
“Three Silly Sisters” is a gentle, heartwarming book sisterhood. These three silly sisters enjoy playing with each other and playing dressup, but when one sister gets in trouble they bond together and all take responsibility for it. This example shows how one sister’s lie snowballed into a bigger problem and they all played a part. Sisterhood means loving even in the mess, the trouble, and the difficult moments. It also means forgiveness and sticking together. There is nothing quite like sisters.
✂️ Supplies You’ll Need:
- White dessert paper plate (Optional other colors)
- color printer and paper
- scissors
- glue
- orange pipe cleaner
- googly eyes
- Stapler
🌼 Let’s Make a Paperplate Goose:
- Print and carefully cut out goose pieces.
- Fold the paper plate in half, pop it out if needed.
- Glue the neck between the two sides of the plate.
- Glue the wings on, one on each side.
- Cut the pipe cleaner into two pieces, fold in half and form feet.
- Glue the feet on top of the pipe cleaners.
- Tuck the pipe cleaners into the bottom of the paper plate as pictured and staple closed over the pipe cleaners.
- Glue on the eyes.
- Challenge: if you place the feet just right it will stand on its own.
