Easy Paper Bag Lamb Puppet Craft to Pair with Pray With Me: A Child’s Guide to Prayer

Graphic promoting a Little Lamb Paper Bag Puppet craft inspired by the children's book Pray With Me: A Child's Guide to Prayer by Shannon L. Mokry. The image features the book cover in the upper left, alongside two smiling paper bag lamb puppets—one white and one tan—with fluffy wool, rosy cheeks, and friendly faces. Bold text reads, "Hands On Teaching: Little Lamb Paper Bag Puppet," with the Silly Geese Publishing website displayed at the bottom. The background is teal and white with a clean, kid-friendly design.

I love taking a story beyond the pages of a book. When children create, imagine, and build something connected to a story, they have the opportunity to revisit the characters, explore the message, and make meaningful memories along the way.

This simple Paper bag puppet is the perfect companion activity for Pray With ME: A Child’s Guide to Prayer. With just a few simple supplies, children can create their very own lamb puppet.

Whether you are reading at home, adding it to a unit study, or looking for a fun group activity, this lamb puppet is sure to bring smiles!

Extend the Learning

Crafts are a wonderful way to help children connect with the books they read. After making your lamb, take some time to talk about the story:

  • What does it mean to pray?
  • Who can pray?
  • Why do we pray?
